This place is unsecured dirty and the patients ain’t taking care of will negligence. My father is there at the moment and they keep placing a young man in there I don’t know to keep an eye on him or something some weird stuff going on don’t trust it and just wanted to put it out there so don’t put your parent in there I snuck in there a couple times just to see what will happen and nothing happened so just a word of advice not a great place I rate this place is zero!!!!
“I am writing this to warn other families: DO NOT trust this facility with your loved ones. My 97-year-old father, who has dementia, suffered multiple falls while under their care, resulting in a fractured rib. When I asked for explanations, the staff claimed they ‘saw nothing,’ which is a complete failure of supervision. What is even more infuriating is the arrogance of the administration. Instead of taking responsibility for their negligence, the directors had the audacity to blame me, suggesting the injuries happened during a brief 4-hour pass. This is a disgusting attempt to deflect their own failures onto the family. On top of the physical injuries, the hygiene is appalling. We frequently found my father in dirty, soiled clothes, showing a total lack of dignity and basic care. The directors are unprofessional, lack any shred of empathy, and have a horrible attitude when confronted with these serious issues. They are more interested in making excuses than in keeping vulnerable seniors safe. Save yourself the heartache and find a place that actually cares.” star)
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident In July of 2025, I went to visit my friend at the San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon in the 100 ward. I first went to his room to see him, but he was not in his room, so I exited his room only to see four workers/staff members laughing at the patients because they could not find their own room and were walking into the wall. They thought this was funny and were not doing anything to resolve the issue or help the residents from beating their heads against the wall, or lead them to their proper rooms. They were enjoying the torment these patients were going through and using it as entertainment while at work, instead of taking care of the residents. In August of 2025, we visited my friend at the San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon in the 100 ward. My friend, who is a Nurse, noticed that my friend had a cataract in one of his eyes and pointed it out to me. We, in turn, after visiting, shared that information with a staff member at the 100 station counter and were told we needed to speak with the staff member nurse who was in charge. We were directed to an African American woman at the other end of the station and proceeded to share that my friend has cataracts in his eyes. We asked her if she could contact Medicare and have a doctor look at him, since Medicare covered these services, so that he would be able to read the Bible. This woman acted like who are we to ask or tell her to do anything in this facility, and gave us a haughty look, rolling her eyes and shaking her body while telling us that “sure, I’ll look into that.” Displaying body language that spoke louder than her words. We knew this would go nowhere and left. In September of 2025, when we went to visit friend at the San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon in the 100 ward, a friend of mine and I were sitting outside with my friend and talking with him on the patio. We had other residents come over and join us. As we sat there, we noticed that more of the residents were coming outside. This did not bother us until one of the workers came outside and started passing out cigarettes to the rest of the residents who were outside. The atmosphere was full of cigarette smoke, and we had to go inside to avoid the smoke. As we entered the building, the worker who had passed out the cigarettes was holding the box of cigarettes and standing at the entrance inside the building, also avoiding the smoke. I confronted him and asked, “Don’t you realize that you are killing these people with what you are doing?” and he responded by saying, “Yes, I know, I don’t want to do this, but this is what I am told to do.” On October 31, 2025, at around 12:30 pm, I arrived at the San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon to visit my friend in the 100 ward. As I was about to enter the dining hall to visit with him, a on of the workers from the station recognized me and said, “Wait, let me clean him up before you visit with him.” Apparently, she had been aware of the fact that he needed to be cleaned up and decided to let him sit in Human waste and was not going to clean him up until they felt like doing so. I do not know how long they allowed him to sit there like this. They can not say that they were too busy, did not have the resources to take care of him, or that they were not aware of his situation to clean him earlier, because as I walked in there and found three staff members hanging out at the 100 station counter doing nothing but talking to one another, just having a conversation and laughing it up. Apparently, their conversation, laughing, and having a good time are much more important and valuable to them than the health and well-being of the residents there . As you can see, there is a total disregard for the health and well-being of the patients at the San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon, in this facility, and the 100 ward. Someone needs to put an end to this atrocity and total disregard for human life. Those who are elderly or have a mental disability are being abused, used as entertainment, mistreated, and made to sit in their own feces, which can make them ill, poisoning them with cigarettes which leads to cancer and other life threatening ailments, with the attitude that they are going to die anyway, lack of concern for the well being of the elderly and disabled being mistreated in this facility. The San Diego Post Acute Center on Orange Ave. in El Cajon should not be allowed to operate like this in this county. This is a total misuse of Medicare and Medical funding, and various other State and insurance funding that is keeping the doors open for San Diego Post Acute Center.
If I could this place zero stars I would! Awful!! Completely negligent to elderly patients especially with dementia. My grandma was lost on numerous occasions upon me visiting they had no ideas where she was , one time found in a man’s room with the door closed. Not showered for multiple days, once I found objects in her diaper , had dirty diapers every time I went to check on her which was about daily. They had bruised her arms all up and down from grabbing her inside of guiding her from her waist. I actually ended up having to call 911 for help .
